workshop for youngsters

Summer 2005

ACAVA artist Mary English created the installations

contrasting characters and their emotional effects.

ACAVA, the artist charity that manages the Cannizaro Park Art Studios, has run a free workshop, teaching youngsters how digital photography can be used to create art.

As the third public event since the arts group ACAVA took over the refurbished studios last year, the workshop entitled "Digital Art in the Park" was held on Saturday 2 July from 10am-1pm. Aiming at youngsters aged 10-15, ACAVA brought its popular C-Van to Cannizaro and showed participants how photography of the park could be turned into art using simple digital art techniques.

The workshop was be free to all participants. The youngsters simply needed to turn up at the Cannizaro Park Studios entrance gate opposite the pond at 9:50 am.
